The vast majority of articles about aerotropolis projects available on the internet are uncritical industry pieces enthusing about the supposed economic benefits. Every aerotropolis is described as a ‘global hub’, ‘economic engine’, ‘growth engine’ or ‘international gateway’. A few of these industry articles are posted here to highlight issues such as the high level of government support and subsidy, connection with other megaprojects such as multilane highways, and the scale and environmental implications of construction.
